ARTIST MANAGEMENT FOR THE MUSIC BUSINESS — FIFTH EDITION
By Paul Allen
Managing a music career requires a clear understanding of the many moving parts behind the artist—from creative development and touring to streaming, marketing, finance, networking, and long-term planning.
Artist Management for the Music Business offers a comprehensive introduction to professional artist management and the modern recording industry. Through practical insights, interviews, and case studies, Paul Allen examines real-world management challenges and shows how strategic decisions can shape an artist’s career and earning potential.
Expanded for its fifth edition, this illustrated 400-page guide includes updated discussions of social media, streaming, networking, and music-business data analytics. A dedicated chapter for independent and self-managing artists makes it equally useful for musicians directing their own careers and professionals preparing to represent others.
